We are looking for someone who can keep up with the ever-evolving Internet by producing top quality content for the millions of students, parents and educators who visit and utilize Scholarships.com each month. The ideal candidate will use their education, experience, and creativity to help produce and publish valuable content to further augment and enhance the tens of thousands of pages that are Scholarships.com.
The Available Position
A very critical one, your role will be to assist in development strategies including, but not limited to, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Pinterest, etc.), Pay Per Click and SEM as well as multiple organic channels. And of course, strong writing, grammar, and spelling are a necessity. This is an "in-office" position, so applicants must be able to commute to our Highland Park offices daily, M-F. Telecommuting is not an option.
You Are/Have
- Minimum two years of marketing and writing experience, preferably in content marketing strategies in an online B2B/B2C company (preferably with an English or Journalism degree/background).
- Self starter with history of driving successful content strategy across channels; understanding successful content goes beyond mere writing, no matter how good, and is also dependent on generating interest via SEO and social marketing, among other tools.
- A college degree and/or requisite experience to effectively write, communicate and market to students, parents, educators, etc.
- Create audience-appropriate content that supports the Scholarships.com brand and employs the Scholarships.com voice.
- Research and implement new user acquisition strategies via our reporting tools, both in-house proprietary and third-party.
- Monitor and manage site traffic, both passive and interactive, producing analytic reports and budgetary reporting.
- Execute acquisition strategies based on traffic and trends, meeting and exceeding projected quarterly goals.
- Form strategic alliances with other companies, sites and services in similar verticals with a common desire to grow.
- Strategize and organize multiple performance marketing efforts and generate reports thereof.

- Able to organize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
Nice to Haves
- Aptitude for/experience with HTML, CSS and any other front-end web development experience/skill.
- Computer superusers (more than) welcome. Ability to quickly understand and hack all things computer/web.
- Experience and/or familiarity with SEO/Analytics tools such as Google Analytics,
- Graphic creation and manipulation using Adobe Photoshop or similar graphic software.
