Prom season is officially in full swing. As you’re thinking about your prom attire, have you considered making your own dress or tux out of Duck® Brand duct tape? You read that right. The annual Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest 2022 is back again and open to high school students (over the age of 14) who are looking for ways to express their individuality and put a twist on the traditional prom dress or tux.

Cash Prizes

Two First Place Prize Winners will receive a $10,000 cash scholarship (one for the dress category and one for the tux category). There will be eight Runner Up Prizes of $500 cash, and the remaining Finalists will receive a Duck® Brand Prize Pack, valuing $100. So, if you’re up for the challenge, it’s time to start thinking: which color Duck® brand duct tape looks best on you?

No longer just for moving boxes and makeshift lint rollers, Duck® Brand duct tape comes in a variety of vibrant colors, not just the original grey. Let your imagination run wild and most importantly, have fun!

Contest Rules

If you’re an aspiring designer or artist, the Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest 2022 is a great way to show off your originality and crafting skills. Not to mention, your tux or dress design would make a great addition to your portfolio. As a bonus, it is no longer required that contestants attend prom in their duct tape attire. All entries must be submitted through the provider's website by July 20, 2022. Judging will be based on the following criteria: workmanship, originality, use of colors, accessories, and use of Duck® brand duct tape.

To be eligible, you must be a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada and 14 years of age or older. You must also be enrolled in high school or part of a homeschool association at the high school level for the 2021-2022 school year.
