As one of the first Division I schools to form a varsity esports program, the University of Akron is setting the standard for intercollegiate sports competition.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $2,500
- Open to all varsity esports participants
- Players keep 100% of their tournament and league earnings
- Paid travel to LAN events provided
- Access to high-end training facilities and a 1222 sq. ft. varsity esports arena
- Form submission required to be considered for the scholarship
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a varsity esports team member at The University of Akron
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must complete the scholarship consideration form
