Scholarship Description

The first step in becoming a CPA is to complete your higher education. Graduating from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university is strongly recommended. The AICPA is looking for scholarship applicants who are declared accounting, finance or related majors and intend to pursue the CPA license. Become an AICPA Legacy Scholar by applying for an AICPA Legacy Scholarship. If chosen, you'll be given funds to help pay for college and be offered exclusive professional development opportunities.

The AICPA Foundation Two-Year Transfer award provides financial assistance to students looking to transfer from a two-year college to a four-year institution to complete their degree in accounting or an accounting-related field. Students interested in being considered for more than one AICPA Legacy Scholarship awards need only complete one application—applicants will be evaluated for all awards for which they are eligible. Applicants must be planning to enroll in a four-year college or university for the upcoming school year the scholarship is awarded. Applicants must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and demonstrate some financial need.
