The Conservation Internship for Broadening Access includes the following benefits:

Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or recently graduated
- U.S. citizen
- Studied a relevant subject matter, such as:
- chemistry
- art history
- design
- photography
- computer science
- studio art
- Demonstrate interest in a career in conservation or the museum field
Application Process
- Create an account on the Smithsonian Online Academic Appointment System (SOLAA)
- Start an application for the internship program
- Register for SOLAA
- Select "Internship" and then "Office of Internships"
- Select "Smithsonian Conservation Internship for Broadening Access (CIBA)" from the drop-down menu
- Submit a current CV or resume, an essay, transcripts, and two letters of recommendation
- Indicate your preference for Smithsonian Unit(s) in your application
