Scholarship Description

Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Judith Heavenrich Memorial Scholarship was established to assist single, low-income mothers return to school to earn a degree or trade. Applicants must be a female Saginaw County resident and a low-income, single mother. Must be a non-traditional student (out of high school for at least six months with no academic experience or out of college for two consecutive semesters or more before returning to school); seeking an undergraduate degree, associates degree, or vocational training; and reside in Saginaw County. Dollar amounts will vary.
