Scholarship Description

In order to qualify for the disABLEDperson Scholarship, the student must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 years accredited college or university in the United States of America. To participate, follow these simple steps: Write an essay with no more than 1,000 words. The prompt can be found at the disABLEDperson website.

Scholarship Details

  • Open to full-time and certain part-time students (due to disability) enrolled in accredited 2-year or 4-year institutions in the U.S.
  • Awards based on ADA-defined disabilities.
  • Requires proof of disability and matriculation from the college or university's Disability Student Services.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a U.S. citizen enrolled full-time (or part-time due to disability) in an accredited college or university.
  • Must demonstrate a disability as defined under the ADA.
  • Not available to high school students.

Application Process

  1. Ensure enrollment in a 2 or 4-year accredited institution and verify full-time or approved part-time status.
  2. Submit proof of disability from the institution's Disability Student Services department.
  3. Complete and submit the scholarship application by the March 15th deadline.
