The Esports Scholarship provides funds to offset the cost of UNL undergraduate tuition charges for up to four consecutive years, or the completion of a bachelors degree, whichever comes first. Recipients need to be in good standing with the Varsity Esports team. This is defined as attending practices, team workouts and 1-2 times a month team activities.
Scholarship Details

- Requires recipients to successfully complete 24 UNL credit hours each academic year (fall and spring semesters).
- Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.000, measured at the end of each spring semester.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled as an undergraduate student at UNL.
- Active participant in the Varsity Esports team, attending practices, workouts, and 1-2 monthly team activities.
- Maintaining good academic standing and satisfactory progress toward a degree at UNL.
Application
- Confirm your enrollment as an undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
- Join the Varsity Esports team by attending tryouts or submitting an application as directed by the team.
- Complete and submit the scholarship application form through the university’s designated portal or Esports program office.
- Provide documentation of academic achievements, including your most recent transcript.
- Demonstrate your commitment to the Varsity Esports team by detailing your participation in practices, workouts, and team activities in the application.
- Submit the completed application before the specified deadline as determined by the university or Esports program.
Recipients must successfully complete 24 UNL credit hours each academic year (fall and spring semesters). Recipients must also remain in good academic standing within the University, which requires maintaining satisfactory academic progress towards a degree and a 3.000 cumulative grade point average, measured at the end of every spring semester.
