To be eligible for the Edwards Lifesciences Foundation Scholarship, applicants must: be a current high school senior residing in Orange County, California or Salt Lake County, Utah or Puerto Rico or be a child (or in the guardianship) of an Edwards Lifesciences employee; demonstrate financial need; be a US citizen or permanent resident; and plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. This is renewable upon a 3.0 GPA.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. To increase access to higher education and to promote careers in the fields of science, Edwards Lifesciences launched this scholarship program.
