The Washington Apple Education Foundation is the charity of the tree fruit industry. Their mission is to impact lives through access to educational opportunities. Investors in the WAEF are making dreams come true for men and women improving their lives through higher education. Every year, the Washington Apple Education Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships to deserving students on behalf of tree fruit industry families, employers and supporters.
The Brian Kershaw Memorial Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college/university or trade school in Washington State. To qualify, applicants must be studying in a tree fruit related field and be the children of parents who are somehow employed within Washington’s tree fruit industry. Preference will be given to students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture. Additional consideration will be given to students pursing degrees in marketing, accounting, business administration and economics. The scholarship may be renewed for up to a total of four years. Dollar amounts will vary. Applications run from the Fall until the due date.
