At Amazon, supporting under-served students in their Computer Science education is not only important to us–it’s imperative to building a diverse tech industry and future. Our Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship program provides students an opportunity to upgrade their careers with a scholarship and a paid summer internship programming at Amazon. We gear this scholarship toward students from under-served and historically underrepresented communities; Black, Latinx, Native American, and Women who are low-income.
Applicants must have work authorization for two years and be high school seniors in the U.S. who are currently enrolled in or who have completed a high school or college dual degree course where Computer Science is the subject. Students who have not taken this course can opt-in to taking an assessment offered by Amazon. Example courses include International Baccalaureate Computer Science Course, Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science, A or AP Computer Science Principles, and Computer Science through a college dual enrollment program. Applicants must be planning to obtain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or another computer science-related field of study from an accredited college with a 3.0 GPA (or its equivalent).
