NTAEE and AEE are pleased to offer scholarships to students active in, or entering into, a post-secondary education program related to energy engineering, energy management, environmental engineering, or sustainability at accredited colleges, universities and technical schools. Dollar amounts for the scholarships will vary.
The NTAEE Jim Phillips Memorial Scholarships are focused on the interests of the local AEE chapter and scoring is weighted to recognize a mixture of aspects, including academic performance, financial need, and extra-curricular activities. Candidates who are from the North Texas area and/or attending programs in the North Texas area will be advantaged over candidates outside this area. Also, student NTAEE members or students of NTAEE members will receive added consideration. In addition to consideration for the NTAEE Jim Phillips Memorial Scholarships, all applicants will be considered for nomination by the Chapter to the AEE Foundation Scholarship, which is sponsored by the Association of Energy Engineers.
The goals of the two scholarship programs are slightly different; therefore, receipt of an award from NTAEE is not a prerequisite for nomination to the AEE Foundation Scholarship. Once the attached application packet is submitted, no additional information is required to be nominated for the AEE Foundation Scholarship.
