I am currently a senior at Smithfield High School. I plan on applying for this scholarship so I can be successful when going into nursing. I plan on getting my masters in nursing to become a nurse practitioner or my doctorate in nursing to become a Nurse Anesthetist. I have taken a class to become a CNA but since this pandemic started I was not able to take the exam. I started taking an EMT class last year. I am now done with my EMT class and will be earning my certification soon.

I would like to apply for this scholarship because I am a young mother of two boys, and I would like to pursue my RN BSN degree and ultimately become a nurse midwife, a nurse practitioner , or nurse educator. I love the healthcare field and the diversity and opportunities it has in store for all its workers.

Hello, I am currently employed with the Baltimore county police department in Maryland and I am looking to go to college for criminal justice to receive my degree. I did not have the resources or funds to go to apply for colleges right out of high school. But 10 years later, I have a 3 year old and now I’m focusing on me and trying to further my education. Thank you

April 6, 2021

by Izzy Hall

The coronavirus made laptops a necessity for college students. One university has announced a unique remedy for this technical situation. [...]
