NASF Scholarships are open to college juniors, seniors, and graduate students in the United States majoring in subjects related to surface science. These include chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, metallurgical engineering, materials science engineering, metallurgy, materials science and others. Selection is based on, but not limited to: career interest in surface finishing, scholarship, achievement, motivation and potential. Awards are not necessarily based on financial need.
The scholarship award is available to both undergraduates and graduates. Undergraduate applicants must be junior standing or above when applying and must be of senior standing for the next academic year. Undergraduate and graduate students must be studying in chemical engineering, material science or engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, environmental engineering, or chemistry. The applicant must be attending an accredited college. Only students attending college/university in the United States are invited to apply.
