ForEverglades Research Enhancement Grants provide graduate students up to $30,000 for research-related expenses. Formerly known as ForEverglades Scholarships & Fellowships, these awards are intended to support outstanding graduate research in areas related to the current and future restored Everglades ecosystem.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarships provide up to $30,000 per year
- Multiple scholarships available with criteria that may vary by award
- Research must focus on Everglades physical, chemical, or biological processes, or on economic impacts of environmental changes
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a full-time graduate research student at a U.S. university
- Must be pursuing a degree in earth sciences, biological sciences, engineering, geography, planning and resources management, or economics
- Research must align with the Foundation’s mission to advance Everglades science and understanding
Application Process
- Complete and submit the ForEverglades Scholarship application
- Include details about your research proposal and how it aligns with the Everglades Foundation’s priorities
- Provide academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other required documentation
- Submit your application by the specified deadline
The Research Enhancement Awards will be made to the graduate student’s Institution, which will manage the award in accordance with the approved budget. The Institution will be responsible for reporting expenditures to the Foundation and complying with any applicable tax reporting.
