A scholarship will be awarded from the Indianapolis Bureau of Jewish Education Endowment Fund to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates a commitment to lifelong Jewish learning, formal and informal, as a leader and participant. This student is actively engaged in post B’nai Mitzvah formal Jewish learning and is planning on continuing their Jewish studies at the collegiate or university level.
The Bureau of Jewish Education served the Greater Indianapolis Jewish community as the central agency for Jewish Education for over a century. The organization suspended operations in 2018. In an effort to continue its mission of providing community-based Jewish learning, a scholarship has been created to annually award a graduating high school senior who has been accepted to post-secondary education, to continue and expand their Jewish learning. This scholarship is one of several academic scholarships offered under the auspices of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis.
