  • Native American/Alaska Native undergraduate students attending tribal colleges and universities are eligible to apply for both the American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarship Program and the American Indian College Fund TCU Scholarship Program. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled in an accredited tribal college or university and registered as a member of a federal or state recognized tribe, or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member (Alaska Natives may also use Native Corporation membership) For extra eligibility for the The Tzo'-Nah Fund Scholarship, applicants must be a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Freshmen or sophomores attending Blackfeet Community College and juniors or seniors attending Salish Kootenai College are eligible. Preference for students majoring in environmental science programs and also majors in science, technology, engineering or math. Student Loan Debt Forgiveness for U.S. Military Veterans

The U.S. Department of Education plans to forgive $1.3 billion in outstanding student loan debt for roughly 25,000 disabled U.S. military veterans, beginning in July. Until now, the Department of Education had required veterans to formally apply for student loan forgiveness - having them complete "unnecessary paperwork to secure relief from their student loans, even after the Department of Veterans Affairs had found that a veteran met the legal requirements for disability-related loan forgiveness." In 2018, over 30,000 totally and permanently disabled veterans eligible for student loan forgiveness had not completed the necessary paperwork; a majority of which had defaulted on their student loans.
