The Mary Elizabeth Dodson Conrad Scholarship is awarded to two high school graduates who are residents of Forsyth County and seeking a degree or credential in the healthcare field. Both graduating seniors and adult students may apply. In honor and memory of Mary Elizabeth Dodson Conrad's life, her many sacrifices, and her humble service. Mary, known as Liz to many, worked at a Burlington sock factory to pay her way through nursing school. Mary's daughter Angela and her husband, John Golden, established a healthcare scholarship in Mary's name in 2021.
