Scholarship Description

The Women at Microsoft Scholarship supports graduating high school seniors who identify as women, non-binary, gender fluid, or transgender women, and who are pursuing undergraduate studies in technology, engineering, math, or computer science. This scholarship aims to empower future leaders in STEM fields by providing financial assistance to students with strong academic performance, leadership, and community involvement.

Scholarship Details

  • Award is intended to support full-time undergraduate study at an accredited U.S. two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school
  • International applicants are eligible if they plan to attend school in the United States
  • Microsoft employees and their children are ineligible
  • Financial need will be considered when selecting recipients

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a graduating high school senior
  • Must self-identify as a woman, non-binary, gender fluid, or transgender woman
  • Must plan to enroll full-time in a technology, engineering, math, or computer science-related undergraduate program
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent

Application Process

  1. Prepare and submit the following materials:
    • One letter of recommendation
    • Transcript
    • Statement of career and educational goals and objectives
  2. Complete the online application form
  3. Submit the application by the extended deadline of March 17th (application cycle opens January 22nd)
