Each year, Teachers Test Prep awards two $5,000 scholarships to aspiring K-12 educators through its "Pass the Torch" Teacher Scholarship program. One scholarship is awarded to a recipient planning a career in elementary education, and one is awarded to a recipient planning a career in secondary education.
Scholarship Details
- Two scholarships available: $5,000 for elementary education and $5,000 for secondary education.
- Funds awarded directly to recipients to support living expenses.
- All finalists receive a $100 Amazon gift card and one year of free access to Teachers Test Prep's Core Plus Online Prep Programs for credentialing exams.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be enrolled in a US teacher preparation program for the upcoming academic year.
- Demonstrate financial need, which may require evidence such as Federal Student Aid receipts.
Application Process
- Download the Scholarship Application Form.
- Create a video, no longer than six minutes, sharing the story of a teacher who inspired you and what lessons you want to pass on to your future students. (Preferred format: landscape)
- Upload the video to a platform like YouTube or Vimeo.
- Email the signed Scholarship Application Form along with a link to your video (not the full video file) to us.
To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in a teacher preparation program in the US for the upcoming academic year and be able to demonstrate financial need. They must also complete the application form available on the scholarships webpage.
