Troy Industrial Solutions, formerly known as Troy Belting & Supply Company, was founded in 1862 as a provider of leather belting and mill supplies for industrial machinery used in mills, mines and factories located in the northeastern part of the US. Still a leader in the belting industry, evolving over time, Troy became known as the premiere service provider in the business of fixing and maintaining industrial equipment.
Troy Industrial Solutions (TIS) is pleased to announce our participation in National Manufacturing Day and our commitment to supporting the promotion and growth of manufacturing jobs for future generations. Because of this commitment, TIS will be initiating an annual scholarship to be awarded yearly to one graduating high school senior, anywhere throughout the US, who is interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing, mechanical or maintenance industries.
Scholarship Details:
• Eligibility: Open to graduating high school seniors across the United States.
• Award Amount: A significant financial award of $1,000.00.
Application Criteria:
To be considered for this prestigious scholarship, applicants should:
1. Express Interest:
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing, mechanical, or maintenance industries.
2. Craft a Persuasive Essay:
• Submit a compelling 500-word essay outlining the reasons behind the desire to enter the manufacturing realm. Share your vision, passion, and aspirations.
3. Letters of Recommendation:
• Include one or more letters of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or mentor who can attest to your commitment and potential in the chosen field.
4. Online Submission:
• All interested candidates are invited to submit their application and supporting documents online.
Funds Allocation:
The financial award of $1,000.00 can be utilized towards obtaining a certificate or educational credential at any college, vocational, or trade school in the United States. Use the funds for tuition, fees, books, equipment, or tools essential for your educational journey.
