The Carrington-Philbert Scholarship program is designed to support Black/African American students entering U.S. colleges or universities as freshmen. This program offers a $2500 one-time scholarship to assist with educational expenses. It is an opportunity for students to gain financial support as they embark on their higher education journey, emphasizing the importance of academic pursuit and personal drive.
Scholarship Details
- A one-time scholarship of $2500
- Awarded to entering U.S. College/University Freshmen
- Payment made directly to the recipient's school in September
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Black / African American applicants
- Must plan to attend a two (2)-year community college or four (4)-year college in the U.S.
Application Process
- Ensure eligibility as a Black/African American freshman entering a U.S. college
- Submit a letter of recommendation along with the application
- Include a transcript, photo, and essay on 'What has been your driving force in your pursuit with education?'
- Provide proof of enrollment upon winning the scholarship
- Applications must be received by May 1st of the current year
