Carson-Newman Tarr Full-Tuition Music Scholarship
February 25, 2024
- Scholarship Description
As a member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the Music Department at Carson-Newman University holds a Department Audition as an entrance requirement for prospective music majors. The department audition also serves as an audition for music scholarships and has two basic parts: solo performance and a music theory placement exam. To learn more about the music programs, join us for an on-campus experience. Sit in on classes, perform with our ensembles, go to lunch with a C-N music student and try out an applied lesson with one of our music faculty members.
The Carson-Newman Tarr Full-Tuition Music Scholarship Competition is offered to any high school senior or graduate with an interest in majoring in music who has not yet attended college. Applicants will participate in the Carson-Newman College Full Tuition Scholarship Competition for Band, Voice, Piano, and Organ. A brief, basic music theory exam is a component of the audition. This award is renewable for four years. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
