NSHE NASA STEM Scholarship

The NSHE NASA STEM Scholarship offers undergraduate students a chance to conduct independent research or hands-on projects aligned with NASA's mission and STEM research priorities. It aims to advance NASA's goals while supporting the academic growth of Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) students.

Scholarship Details

• Supports independently conceived research or hands-on projects
• Projects should contribute to STEM research relevant to NASA's Mission Directorate priorities
• Funds are disbursed at the beginning of each semester for the scholarship period
• Recipients are expected to present their projects at a Statewide Nevada Space Grant and NASA EPSCoR meeting

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to NSHE students who are U.S. citizens
• Applicants must be full-time undergraduates in a NASA-related STEM program
• Scholarships are available for either a 10-week summer program for the coming summer or the coming academic year
• Students must have a faculty mentor, maintain full-time enrollment, and meet financial aid eligibility

Application Process

1. Submit your application, indicating your preferred scholarship period (coming summer or fall of the coming academic year).
2. Ensure you have a faculty mentor for your research project.
3. Maintain full-time enrollment throughout the scholarship period.
4. If selected, present your project at a Statewide Nevada Space Grant and NASA EPSCoR meeting.
