All graduating high school seniors, who are biological or adopted children of Roma Lodge members, are eligible to apply for the Roma Lodge Merit Scholarships. An applicant’s father must be a member in good standing as of January 31st of the calendar year that application for the scholarship is made. The recipient’s father must continue to be a member in good standing for the duration of the scholarship academic year. Applicants must be planning to pursue a full-time program of study (12 credits or more) at a college or university in the United States. A recipient of a Roma Lodge Merit Scholarship will not be eligible to receive any other scholarships offered through Roma Lodge.
The applicants must: complete a high school college preparatory course of study; demonstrate a commendable academic record which will qualify for admission to the college university of their choice; demonstrate positive citizenship and leadership qualities through participation in school and community activities; show potential for higher academic success by achieving ACT or SAT scores acceptable to the college or university of their choice; and submit a transcript, ACT or SAT scores and two recommendation letters.
