The University of Texas Chapter of Acacia Fraternity is offering Leadership Scholarships up to $1,000 for the upcoming fall. Membership in Acacia Fraternity is not a prerequisite for the award. Application deadline is September 15th. Applicants should be active in their respective communities, be a full-time male student at the University of Texas for the academic year the scholarship is to be awarded and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (final high school GPA to be used for incoming freshmen).
Applicants should be able to demonstrate past examples of specific leadership role/responsibility in a community or student organization. Such organizations might include: School class leadership (President, VP, etc.) of the applicant’s class; Leadership in the student council in the applicant’s scholastic institution; Leadership in a community service-type organization such as Boy Scouts, church youth groups, community volunteer organization; etc. Applicants must display integrity and compassion, have the ability to manage/motivate other people and display spiritual and social strength.
