Our foundations goal is to provide financial assistance in the form of unrestricted cash scholarships for higher education expenses to students in the Saint Louis Public Schools that demonstrate a financial need. This is a family foundation scholarship established in honor and memory of Robert Lee Boatman and Luberta King, two hardworking St. Louis citizens who were dedicated to the development of young people.
Scholarship Details
- Name: Boatman King Scholarship Foundation
- Amount: $1,000 (Renewable for one year)
- Target: Two hardworking students from St. Louis Public Schools

Eligibility Criteria
- Seniors in St. Louis Public High Schools
- Entering a 2 or 4-year college or post-secondary program
- Screening guidelines include a 2.5 GPA and community involvement
- Financial need and integrity are essential
- Previous recipients require a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher for eligibility
Application Process
- Complete all parts of the application
- Ensure a minimum 2.75 GPA and minimum ACT score of 20
- Show active involvement in community activities
- Demonstrate financial need
- Previous recipients provide an official college transcript with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
