The Cal Grant High School Entitlement Award offers two grants to current high school seniors and recent high school graduates from the state of California who meet general Cal Grant eligibility requirements.
Grant A is offered to low or middle income students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and may be used for a program that is at least two academic years in length resulting in an associate or baccalaureate degree of 48 semester units or the equivalent. Grant B is offered to low income students only with a minimum GPA of 2.0, and may be used for a program that is at least one academic year in length resulting in an associate, baccalaureate degree or certificate of at least 24 semester units or the equivalent. Grant B includes an additional annual Access Award amount to cover living expenses. Students must complete the FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application to be considered for either grant.
