Scholarship Description

The objective of the 101st Airborne Division Association and Screaming Eagle Foundation scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to students who have the potential to become assets to our nation. The major factors to be considered in the evaluation and rating of applicants are eligibility, career objectives, academic record, and insight gained from the letter requesting consideration and letters of recommendation.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarships available through the Screaming Eagle Foundation
  • Two primary awards: Chappie Hall and Al & Willamary Viste Scholarships
  • Preference for Viste Scholarship given to students in physical sciences or medical/scientific research fields
  • Awards renewable for up to four years for undergraduates and two years for graduate students

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be the child, grandchild, great-grandchild, or spouse of a regular or life (not associate) member of the 101st Airborne Division Association
  • Chappie Hall Scholarship requires a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Al & Willamary Viste Scholarship requires a minimum 3.75 GPA and enrollment as a 3rd/4th year undergraduate or graduate student in a medical or scientific field
  • Applicants cannot be attending or accepted into a U.S. military academy (e.g., West Point, Naval Academy)

Application Process

  1. Download the “Application for Scholarship” form from the website or call to request one
  2. Complete all sections of the application form
  3. Include all required documents as listed on page 2 of the application form
  4. Submit letters of recommendation and a personal letter requesting consideration
  5. Submit your full application between April 7th and June 6th
  6. Ensure all materials are received by close of business on Friday, June 6th

A checklist of documents that are required to be submitted with the applicant’s application is provided on page 2 of the Application for Scholarship Form. Applications that are missing any of the required documents will be rejected.
