To be eligible for the Christopher Mark Pitkin Memorial Scholarship, applicants must: be a person with a bleeding disorder or must have an immediate family member with a bleeding disorder; be accepted into an educational/vocational institution and able to provide proof of enrollment; and be a resident of, or have permanent address in, one of the following Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern, Inyo and Santa Barbara.
This scholarship will be awarded to individuals who demonstrate the principles of goal-orientation and motivation. Awards of the scholarship will be based primarily upon the applicant’s statements of goals and intentions as well as extracurricular involvement within their community. Besides completing the application, applicants must also submit: a resume and/or list of current activities, clubs, honors, awards, volunteer work; two recommendation letters; a transcript; and evidence of acceptance and/or enrollment at educational/vocational institution.
