The Washington Apple Education Foundation is the charity of the tree fruit industry. Their mission is to impact lives through access to educational opportunities. Investors in the WAEF are making dreams come true for men and women improving their lives through higher education. Every year, the Washington Apple Education Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships to deserving students on behalf of tree fruit industry families, employers and supporters.
The Douglas Fruit Scholarship is open to students (Pasco, Chiawana, Connell, Othello, Kiona Benton, Richland, Kennewick, Kamiakin, Southridge, Hanford, Burbank, or Tri City Prep) whose parents are employed by Douglas Fruit Company or are involved in the tree fruit industry. No specific major is required for this particular scholarship. Dollar amounts for this scholarship will vary. Applications run from the Fall until the due date.
