The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund is open to United States citizens only, between 18-35 years. The purpose of the scholarship is to foster high standard in the study of form, color, drawing, painting, design, and technique, as these are expressed in modes showing patent affinity with the classical tradition of Western culture. Applicants must be skilled or devoted to this classical and conservative tradition. Acceptable categories include painting from life, drawing from the figure (nude), composition, landscape, and any other examples of your work which you think advisable. Recipients are notified by April 1.
The Committee reserves the right to disburse funds in whole or in part, as it deems advisable from careful study of the merits of the applicants as shown by their work and personal data. The decision of the Committee shall be final. Also, the Committee reserves the right to withhold appointments if, in its judgment, the work submitted fails to comply with the required standard or is inferior in quality. Types of work that do not meet the qualifications for this award include anime, animation, graphic design, illustration and photography.
