Scholarship Description

The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) is a public corporation and governmental agency and instrumentality of the Commonwealth established in 1966 to improve students' access to higher education. To that end, KHEAA administers several financial aid programs and disseminates information about higher education opportunities. KHEAA's mission statement is to expand educational opportunities by providing financial and informational resources that enable Kentuckians to attain their higher education goals.

CAP Grants help Kentucky's financially needy undergraduate students attend eligible public and private colleges and universities, proprietary schools, and technical colleges. Applicants must be a Kentucky resident, demonstrate financial need, and attend an eligible college at least part-time and in a program at least two years in length. Kentucky students applying for the FAFSA will be entered into consideration for this scholarship.
