  • The Sid Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for college and graduate education and post-secondary vocational training for children and grandchildren of eligible retirees and employees of businesses previously owned and operated by Sid Richardson and designated successor companies and organizations. I believe I should be awarded this scholarship because I have a burning desire to take my love for helping others achieve their fitness goals to the next level. Not only that, but I also want to help others through physical therapy so they can get back to their grind and to do that I need to hit the ground running my freshman year of college. It's been a dream of mine to study health science at a university such as Texas State or Texas Tech. However, although I was accepted and grateful, this was only a small step of the battle. I have 3 other college-age siblings and my dad works hard to support all of us. Because of this, I have not received much aid if at all. To pursue my dreams and not let this get in the way of my passion I have been applying to scholarships every day during quarantine. While I'm willing to attend a community college and transfer to a university I have not given up hope. I will continue to strive and work hard for my goals as my father did when he came to America as a first-generation immigrant from Russia. I appreciate you providing this opportunity and I hope I am chosen! Thank you!
