Blades of Green, founded in 1989 just outside Annapolis, Maryland, has been a proponent of organic-based and bay-friendly lawn care techniques. With a commitment to environmental protection and water source conservation, Blades of Green is offering a merit-based scholarship for individuals pursuing undergraduate education in environmental studies or related fields.
Scholarship Details:
• Two (2) scholarships of $1,000 each for the academic year.
• The scholarship is awarded based on academic excellence, the pursuit of further study in environmental education at an accredited college or university, and passion for further study.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Must reside in Maryland, DC, or VA (intended school location does not need to be in these regions).
• Complete the entire application process.
• Submit transcripts with the most recent semester (official transcripts not required).
• Submit a letter of intent (350 – 500 words) describing your career path after graduation, passion for your intended field, and what inspired you to pursue your chosen career path.
• Provide a letter of recommendation (faculty or professional recommendation).
Application Deadline:
• Applications must be postmarked or sent by April 22 at 11:59 PM (EST).
• Students pursuing a Graduate or Doctoral degree are not eligible for this scholarship.
