Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Saginaw Alumni Club is one of the oldest U-M alumni organizations in the country dating back to its formation in the early 1920s. The University of Michigan Alumni Club of Saginaw takes pride in having been the first club in the nation to honor scholars and athletes in a recognition program. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from Saginaw County, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at the University of Michigan as a full-time student, and have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
