Eligibility Criteria

• Must be eligible for in-state tuition in Maryland
• First-time applicants must file the FAFSA or MHEC One-App by March 1st
• Undocumented students must use the MHEC One-App if not eligible to file the FAFSA
• Submit all required documentation by April 15th
• Meet income requirements for the coming academic year
• Be accepted for admission and plan to enroll full-time (minimum 12 credits per semester) in an eligible undergraduate program at a Maryland institution
• Must have a high school diploma or GED (passing score of at least 145 per module)
• Must begin college within six years of completing high school or obtaining GED
• Must be under the age of 26 when first receiving the GA Grant (born after July 1, 1999, for the coming year)
