Jack Scura Fund is designed to recognize students with a special need who are of good standing in school and in their communities. We are a business that runs on helping others and giving chances and the Jack Scura Fund would wish to offer a $10,000 scholarship for the coming Fall and Spring semesters to those with disabilities who are incoming or, are in an Undergraduate Program.
Scholarship Award
- One recipient will be awarded $10,000 total
- Distributed in two parts: $5,000 for Fall and $5,000 for Spring tuition
- Funds paid directly to the recipient’s school
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an incoming or current undergraduate or graduate student at a New Jersey college or university
- Must have an intellectual, severe physical, or psychiatric disability
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Required Materials
- Proof of disability documentation
- Transcript of records
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- 600–800 word essay: “Recount a time you have faced a challenge or setback in your life. How has this experience molded you as the person you are today?”
- Completed Media Release Form with applicant photo

The scholarship program is named in memory of John (“Jack”) Joseph Scura II, Esq. He was the founding partner of our firm and a true renaissance man. He treasured education putting himself through college and law school while juggling four kids alongside his wife of 52 years Kathleen Scura.
