As the nation's largest state nursery and landscape association, FNGLA represents Florida's environmental horticulture industry which generated $31.4 billion total output sales in 2020 and directly employed 266,000+ people. The James H. Davis Memorial Scholarship was created to encourage students to pursue careers in Florida's horticulture industry and related pursuits by providing financial assistance for undergraduate, postgraduate, or other advanced education programs in Florida. Applicant must be an incoming freshman, sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student planning to attend a community college, college, university or other program in Florida. The student must enroll full-time in a horticulture program or related field with the intent to graduate in that field. A 2.0 GPA is required. Dollar amounts may vary, so inquire with the scholarship provider for further details.
