Navy and Marine Corps Dependents Education Foundation Scholarship Program is good for up to $15k/year for tuition, books, and academic fees for a maximum of 4 years.
Scholarship Details
- Amount: Up to $15,000 per year
- Renewable for consecutive years (up to four years)
- Applicable for tuition, academic fees, and books
Eligibility Criteria
- Dependent child of active duty, retired, or deceased while on active duty US Navy or US Marine Corps personnel
- California resident at the time of application
- Graduating high school senior
- Top 10% of class OR 3.6 cumulative GPA or higher
- Evidence of acceptance to a 4-year college or university in the United States pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Demonstrate financial need
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application
- Candidates with unusual financial hardship can submit a Special Circumstances Form
All candidates must complete an application. If the candidate has had unusual or extraordinary financial hardship in the family, due to loss of job, income, or additional expenses, then they may also complete a Special Circumstances Form to be submitted with the Application Package. This form does not apply for mortgages. Scholarhsip does not cover the costs of room and board.
