The Honors Program at New Jersey City University provides exciting opportunities for exceptional students who are talented, motivated, and intellectually curious. It is designed for students who have a passion for learning and provides the training and experience needed for fulfilling, 21st-century careers. Students in our program receive a generous scholarship, dedicated advising, unique faculty and peer mentorship, access to the Honors lounges, priority registration, and a University-supported transformative co-curricular experience, among other benefits. Dollar amounts will vary.
Throughout their time at NJCU, Honors Program students take specialized courses with their cohort and in learning communities, with a focus on student-directed projects and experiential learning. Criteria will vary, depending on whether you're an incoming freshman, current student or transfer student. The scholarship is renewable for eight semesters as long as the student remains in the Honors Program and is in good standing.
