The Roothbert Fund was established by Albert and Toni Roothbert to provide financial assistance to students whose daily actions are guided by spiritual values. Through its scholarship program, the Fund supports both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing education at accredited institutions in the United States. The Roothbert Fund operates as a volunteer organization based in New York City, providing grants to students with financial need who reflect strong moral and spiritual values in their lives.

Scholarship Details

  • Grants range from $5,000 to $7,000
  • Scholarships may be renewed for subsequent years

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to undergraduate students with at least one year of college completed or graduate students
  • Applicants must demonstrate that their daily lives are guided by spiritual values
  • Preference is given to candidates residing in or attending schools in Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need

Application Process

  1. Complete the Roothbert Fund Application Form
  2. Submit a scanned copy of an official transcript from your current or most recent institution
  3. Write and submit three autobiographical essays
  4. Provide three letters of recommendation
  5. Ensure all materials are submitted by February 1st
