The Achievement Award Program (TAAP) offers up to $32,000 scholarship to high-achieving, community-minded students from low-income and first generation backgrounds. Multiple awards are presented each year to resources to complete their undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley.
Scholarship Details
- $8,000 per academic year; up to $32,000 total
- Winners will participate in retreats, workshops, alumni engagement events, and one-on-one advising throughout the academic year
- Finalists will be interviewed in July
Eligibility Criteria
- Incoming UC Berkeley freshman
- Completed high school in California
- Demonstrates financial need
- Must commit to
- Check-ins with counselors, workshops, dinners, and other events
- Have a 67% completion rate for hours attempted each academic year
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

- Provide your UC Berkeley Student ID and Student Email Address
- Complete supplemental questions
- Write two essays; one about your community and the other regarding your career goals
