The Elizabeth Olson Legacy Scholarship is open to all students currently enrolled in a four-year accredited interior design program within the United States. The scholarship will be awarded based on academic achievement, design skill and professionalism and personal statement. Applicant must submit a design portfolio, including images & documentation from select projects showcasing your design skills & aesthetic. Residential interior projects are preferred, but others will be accepted.
Portfolios can be 8-12 pages and should include Interior floor plans with elevations, sections, perspectives, 3-D renderings; Furnishings, fixtures, and equipment if applicable with colors, materials & finishes; Portfolio Statement not to exceed 500 words describing elements and design solutions that relate to your portfolio projects; Short Biographical & Personal Statement with Headshot and 250 words or less bio describing you and a personal statement on why you chose to pursue the interior design industry. Must include a transcript - An unofficial copy or alternate proof of enrollment will be accepted. Must also include a letter of recommendation. Labeling, notes, and all documentation must be clear and legible at both distant and magnified views. Documents should be free from spelling and grammatical errors. Projects may be hand-drawn, computer-generated, and/or a combination of both.
