FIBCA is an international organization that focuses on bulk bags – including the proper usage, benefits, and furthering knowledge of the products and within in the industry. We created this annual scholarship to honor the legacy of one of our long time members, Cindy Finley. She was an admired FIBCA member for over 30 years, and one of the first women to help pioneer our association and industry. We hope to award a scholarship to a woman looking to pursue a career in the packaging industry to honor her accomplishments.
The Cindy Finley Memorial Scholarship to Support Women in the Packaging Industry is for $5,000 and applicants will need to fill out their details on the FIBCA Application Site and submit the following documents to be considered.
Application Requirements
- Description of your academic and career goals for the future. Please include some comments on why you believe you are suited to achieve these goals.
- Outline any events that led you in this particular direction for the Selection Committee. This essay may be no longer than one page.
- Official copy of a current transcript.Two (2) letters of recommendation - from instructors, supervisors, or managers unrelated to you.
Applicants will be assessed according to the criteria set by the FIBCA Selection Committee and the FIBCA Board of Directors. Only completed applications accompanied by all supporting documents will be considered. Applicants may be requested to submit further information or participate in a web conference upon request.
