Scholarship Description

Since 2017, Columbus Citizens Foundation has been awarding scholarships to promising medical school students of Italian heritage. The scholarship that launched CCF’s medical school offerings in 2017 is primarily funded by, and candidates selected in partnership with, the Morgagni Medical Society, an organization founded in 1890 in order to foster the professional, intellectual, and economic development of Italian American physicians.

Scholarship Details

  • Open to incoming first-year medical school students.
  • Applicants must demonstrate Italian heritage
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or 88%.
  • Consideration is given based on financial need.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Incoming first-year medical school student.
  • At least 25% Italian heritage.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or equivalent.

Application Requirements

  • Submit the most recent Federal Tax Return documents.
  • Provide a FAFSA Submission Summary.
  • Submit two (2) letters of recommendation from academic or professional contacts.
