Scholarship Description

Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. To be eligible for the Dr. Raquel Ontiveros Memorial Scholarship, applicants must: pursue an undergraduate or vocational degree; pursue a degree in education/teaching; have at least 1/4 Mexican-American ancestry; attend a Michigan college or university; be a Saginaw County resident; and have a 2.5 GPA. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need. Dollar amounts for the scholarship will vary.
