Scholarship Description

From Abbeville in Wilcox County to Zebulon in Pike County, Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally (HOPE) has provided more than $10 billion of financial assistance for educational programs beyond high school. Funded by the Georgia Lottery for Education, this unique initiative has helped more than 1.8 million students at eligible state public and private universities and public technical schools. HOPE consists of six different aid programs.

Georgia's HOPE Grant (a separate program from the HOPE Scholarship) is available to legal residents of Georgia who are working towards a certificate or diploma (continuing education programs are not eligible) at an eligible college or university in Georgia. A HOPE Grant recipient must maintain a minimum 2.00 cumulative post-secondary grade point average to remain eligible. A student is ineligible to receive HOPE Grant funds once the student has reached the 63 semester or 95 quarter hour limit. Must be a legal US resident.
