Scholarship Description

The Hawai'i Community Foundation Scholarship program consists of more than 170 different funds, with each scholarship fund having specific eligibility criteria that were defined by the donor when the fund was established. Most scholarships require students be a resident of the State of Hawai'i, plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as either an undergraduate or graduate student; have full-time student status (12 credits undergraduate; 9 credits graduate) and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA (unless otherwise stated).

While we will do our best to notify students prior to the May 1 Decision Day, we cannot guarantee notification of awards, due to the lengthy review and selection processes we go through each year. In some cases, we may even continue to notify students throughout the summer, so long as funds are still available or become available. If you are selected and notified of an award, you will need to take some additional steps during the summer to be sure we get all the information we need to prepare payment to your institution.
