We take applications from February 1 to April 25. Please only apply during this period. You must work at least 30 loops yearly as a caddie, or work a minimum number of weekly hours in a Service to Golf position at a GAP Member Club. You must have a clear financial need. Your parents cannot be members at a private golf club.

The J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust is the official charitable arm of GAP. The Trust’s mission is to financially aid and empower qualified caddies and those working in golf operations in their pursuit of higher education. Since 1958, more than $24 million has been awarded to more than 3,600 caddies. It was named in honor of Philadelphia’s premier golfer of the era, J. Wood Platt. Not only was Mr. Platt an accomplished player, but he was also the Trust’s co-founder and first contributor.
